Registration for the New Volunteer System
(For existing Tai Po Volunteers only)
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new volunteer system which is designed to ensure better welfare for our canine residents at Tai Po Homing Centre. Please note that this registration is ONLY open for Tai Po volunteers who have already registered before April 2023.
If you are not already a registered volunteer, please wait for New Volunteer Registration to reopen upon further notices.
The new system will require all current Tai Po volunteers to sign up for an ID Card, followed by 5 Supervised Shifts in order to complete the registration process.
While we understand that this may represent a change, we firmly believe that this new system will enable us to more efficiently manage our kennel and provide a higher quality of care for our dogs.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all of our volunteers for their ongoing support and understanding during this transitional period. IMPORTANT NOTES:
Under the new volunteer system, volunteers at Tai Po will be referred to as kennel volunteers. In addition to walking dogs, we kindly ask all volunteers to take on a variety of responsibilities in their shifts, including cleaning, dishwashing, grooming, and other tasks that benefit the wellbeing of the dogs. This change will help tremendously in maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs! We deeply appreciate and rely on your understanding and assistance.
