If you represent a company, school or group, we would love to hear from you on how we can work together. HKDR encourages groups to volunteer at our Homing Centres and we can provide various volunteering activities to suit your needs, from dog-walking, general maintenance and cleaning, fundraising to education. We have a minimum age of 18-years-old for volunteers to work in our Homing Centres.

For children below 18 years old, we offer education activities on HKDR’s work of helping abandoned dogs and puppies in Hong Kong. There are also many ways that underaged students can help us, as well as learn to be a responsible pet owner. Some students have organised fundraisers, charity sales, and donation of materials for our dogs in the past. Please visit here for details or email us at yannie@hongkongdogrescue.com to discuss further details and availability.

For groups of 18 years old or above, we encourage you to visit our Tai Po Homing Centre and learn about our daily operation. Group visits usually include:

  • Introduction to HKDR and our dogs by our staff or volunteer;
  • Tour of the Homing Centre;
  • Dog walking;
  • Occasionally groups may be able to help with tasks of general maintenance and cleaning.
